Remscheid

A hill city in the Bergisches Land, like its neighbour Solingen long known for tool and blade manufacturing, though here the trade leaned more toward hand tools and precision instruments than cutlery. Metalworking remains a larger share of the local economy than in most German cities, alongside a growing logistics and service sector.
