Paderborn

A Westphalian cathedral city named for the springs of the Pader, one of Germany's shortest rivers, that rise directly in its centre. Best known industrially as the home of a major computer and IT company that grew out of a local business machine maker, the city has a stronger technology sector than its size would suggest, alongside its cathedral and university.
