Bremerhaven

A port city on the North Sea coast, legally a Bremen exclave surrounded by Lower Saxony, built almost entirely around shipping, fishing and, more recently, offshore wind logistics. Once one of Europe's busiest fishing ports, it has struggled economically since that industry declined and remains one of the poorer cities of its size in western Germany.
